If you read my last post then you’ll know that since having my eighth baby (11 months ago) I have decided it’s well and truly time for me to get fit once again. I have really been enjoying my runs, yes you read that right! I’ve actually been enjoying it!! It’s only been two weeks but it’s been great so far.
I love being able to track my progress with my Fitbit, it gives me that little bit more motivation to improve each time. I’ve only just started to get fit so have a bit of weight to lose (about 14 lbs) so I’m still at the stage where I feel more confident when my whole body is covered up from head to toe so I wear my Gap hoodie which is very lightweight and sweat wicking along with long black leggings. These workout clothes are perfect for Spring as it can still be a little bit chilly early in the morning and later in the evenings when I tend to go out for a run.
I have very long hair and it takes quite some time to wash and dry so I find a can of dry shampoo really helpful when I don’t have time immediately after a workout due to having a gazillion kids to attend to.
The most important piece of a running outfit is undoubtedly the trainers, I treated myself to a new pair of Nike Epic React trainers and they are fantastic. I went for the dark green and they’re really comfortable and lightweight. They keep my feet cool, sweat-free and I haven’t had a single blister.
There’s a few more weeks left until summer in which time I hope to have dropped a dress size and be confident enough to wear some pretty summer workout clothes, I may even bare my legs!
