Hello, I’m Alexandra!

I am the wife of a kindhearted man and a mother to our eight children.  We have four sons and four daughters. Seven of our children are aged from one year to fifteen years old and the eldest has flown the nest.

We are a homeschooling family and enjoy using the Waldorf approach to education.  I am fairly laid back and do not have rigid lesson times but I do have five set days each week when the children do their studies.

We live in the English countryside and a lot of our time is spent outdoors, we are lucky enough to live in a very beautiful part of the country so we like to make the most of it.

Our house is small, we have only three bedrooms.  Our eldest son has has moved into his own apartment so now we have one room for the other three boys, another for the four girls and the last room is for mummy and daddy.  It’s very cosy but to make things run smoothly I find it easier to have few belongings so we have quite a minimalist lifestyle.

Generally all our meals are cooked from scratch, including our bread too but there are times when I’m too busy so we just do the best we can.  We love growing our own food, most of our garden is taken up with the growing of our fruit and vegetables and we also have chickens to lay us delicious fresh eggs.

Every single member of our family is very creative and you will always find one of us working on a project, we have a million and one ideas of things we’d like to do so we’re never bored, we just wish there were more hours in the day!

You are a super family,I am so pleased that you are feeling better Alex.I am having issues with my mother, who is a Narcissist, she has criticized me all my life and doesnt like my kind husband as he was the one who rescued me from them when I was s 23! She has got even worse since my dad passed away in November so I finally said "That`s it we are finished" that was beginning of October havent taken her shopping or seen her since. She has said some terrible things. My children say they feel a lot better now they aren`t seeing her.Good on you for doing a similar thing and putting your family first Alex,I should have done it a long time ago but my dad was ill for quite a number of years so I helped them both.I also home school our two children Holly and Ryan.Holly is year 11 and Ryan year 9.They do GCSE`S with a tutor in the next village.I love your Vlogs and Blogs.Lovely to be in touch.Lots of love to you all.Jeanette.xxx

That's a hard thing you did. It's never easy to cut ties with people especially when they're family but you are already seeing the benefits so you know you did the right thing. xx
